The rural community of Eaton was expanding at a rapid rate. In response, a multigenerational community center was designed with expansion in mind. It was the winner of the Project of the Year at the Excellence in Construction Awards by Associated Builders & Contractors (Rocky Mountain Chapter).

The Eaton Area Community Center is a multigenerational community recreation center, boasting an activity for every age, including a large multi-use community room that can be divided into three smaller classrooms; an adjoining stage area; catering kitchen; party/classroom; short-term child watch room with outdoor tot lot; a large gymnasium with spectator seating; a leisure pool with waterslide, interactive play features, beach entry, warm water spa, lazy river and recreational lap lanes; a second level jog walk track; a group fitness room; and a weights and fitness equipment area.
Room for growth
The project is designed for future expansion, with the ability to add another gymnasium and a competition lap pool including spectator seating and team locker rooms.
A different beet
To align with the sugar beet farming history of the area the lobby is inspired by a beet processing factory with deep reds and agricultural identity incorporated throughout. Historic photographs of the past decorate the walls.
Eaton Area Community Center participates in the BRS Benchmark Network survey.
