Pleasant View Elementary School
Renovation & Addition
The original building was built in the 1950s, with two additions completed over the subsequent decade. A design advisory group developed a program based on needs and determined the school should have a new “image” to reflect the pride staff and students felt about their school. There was also a clear need for a new gymnasium as well as art and music classrooms.
A new 8,000-s.f. addition was placed at the front of the existing structure, providing a new face and entry dressed with mosaic tiles designed by the students.
