Feasibility Study + Design
Ballyneal is a private golf club on the windswept plains of eastern Colorado. Designed by renowned course designer Tom Doak, it was named the 2006 “Best New Course in the World” by Travel and Leisure Golf Magazine, and ranked 46th in the U.S. and 82nd in the world by Golf Magazine. As a links course, it is somewhat shaped by the sand dunes and natural rolling hills.
Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture was commissioned to design the Ballyneal clubhouse and pro shop as well as the founder’s cabins and lodging for overnight stays. The architectural character resembles rural Ireland with its big timber and stone. The clubhouse includes a pub, gourmet dining, games area and members’ lockers. Expansive decks overlook the open, natural course. The pro shop is a standalone building with a wraparound porch and easy access to the course and practice area. The cabins and lodging are warm and inviting.
Ballyneal provides a unique experience in golfing.
