DENVER, CO, November 22, 2017 – Last week, BRS celebrated the addition of four Design Managers to our Senior Associates group. Our partners threw a surprise champagne toast to announce the promotions and present them all with new business cards and custom BRS backpacks to formally recognize the appreciation we have for the talent and enthusiasm they bring to our office each day.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of working with them, here’s your chance to meet our newest Senior Associates:
Sarah Fischer, Design Manager
Since being promoted to an Associate last spring, Sarah has taken on even more leadership tasks for BRS. In addition to her work on projects like the Woodland Aquatic Center, Sarah is an active member of our Culture and Graphics committees, is helping to align our architecture and interiors practice, and has helped with the planning and implementation of our new office intranet. Her energy and commitment to all that she takes on exemplifies BRS Culture, and we are happy to have her join the next generation of BRS leaders.
Melissa Ford, Design Manager
Melissa joined BRS in the summer of 2014, and has brought her talent and critical eye to projects ever since. In addition to working on community recreation projects like the Eaton Area Community Center in Eaton, Colorado, Melissa led the design of a new office building in Castle Rock called The MOVE. Melissa is a Co-Champion of our internal BIM Committee and works to keep our practice up to speed with design technology and is responsible for new staff orientation to BRS BIM Practices and Procedures. Whether it’s teaching or taking the reigns on project design, Melissa always steps up to the challenge.
Jen Jursnick, Design Manager
As another Co-Champion of our BIM Committee, Jen works with Melissa on new staff orientation and defining best technology practices for the firm. Jen is a Revit resource and leads design teams on projects like the Lewisville Multigenerational Recreation Center in Lewisville, Texas, and the South East Recreation Center in Arlington, Texas. Jen also has a seat on our Cultural Committee, and is responsible for creating our internal ‘Crushed It’ award to honor employees that go above and beyond, and also relaunched BRS Maker Night to give us all an opportunity to get crafty together.
Susie Nelson, Design Manager
This is the second time Susie has earned the Senior Associate title at BRS. After a brief hiatus to Minnesota, Susie rejoined the firm after moving back to Colorado and immediately reminded us why she is so valuable to our work. Since coming back she has helped to keep The MARQ Southlake on track and has championed design for the new Trail Winds Recreation Center. Susie also sits on our Culture Committee help plan and make all of our fun BRS events happen, and makes sure our canine friends are happy and in-line with her work on our Dog Wellness Committee. We are grateful to have her energy and spirit back in our office.
Thank you to all of our new Senior Associates for your time, talent and dedication to our firm and exemplifying our belief that we can live better.
