MCRC wins CPRA Columbine Award

DENVER, CO, [October 6, 2017] – Last night the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association held an awards banquet at their annual conference to recognize Colorado leaders in best practices and creativity in design, innovation, and programming for parks and recreation.

The newly opened Montrose Community Recreation Center was honored with a Columbine Award for New Facility Design for responding to the needs of the community. The new 80,000 square foot center features indoor leisure and lap pools, the largest competitive pool on the western slope, three gymnasiums, a large family game area and children’s indoor play area, a second level fitness area, and a 2-level run/walk/jog track that includes a flat section, hill track and stair track running around the facility.

BRS Principal, Keith Hayes and Kenny Shepherd of Haydon Building Corp were on hand to accept the award on behalf of the team and celebrate with our client Ken Sherbenou from the Montrose Parks & Recreation Department. Watch the video below for more highlights from the awards ceremony.
