This $11 million development will cater to young parents and their children. Once completed, it will house 49 units and feature a 10,000 sq. ft. shared front lawn, where children can play in view of their parents’ windows.
This particular groundbreaking was unlike many others, as the laughter of children could be heard while they were playing festive fall games, and adults enjoyed a lovely spread of hors d’oeuvres from Fuel Cafe coupled with signature cocktails from Garnish—everyone involved was very merry indeed.
After a couple of hours of indulging and mingling, project developer Kyle Zeppelin stepped up to the microphone to say a few words about Freight Residences and thanked the community for their effort to make this dream a reality.
Shortly after Kyle’s speech, his 5 year old daughter Lulu (dressed as a construction worker, mind you) hopped into an excavator and began to break ground. The sight was adorable to say the least.
The party drifted on until sunset, and those who attended were happy to be a part of this wonderful gathering. Freight Residences is scheduled for completion in 2015, with units becoming available in Spring 2015. Monthly rents will range from $1,200 for one-bedroom units to $2,400 for two and three-bedroom apartments. We hope we might see you around the TAXI campus as one of its newest residents!
